Individual Therapy
“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.” —Carl Rogers
Here are some of the reasons people seek therapy with me:
Depression
Anxiety
Substance use struggles
Family of origin issues
Relationship struggles
Highly sensitive / Empaths
ADHD / Sensory challenges
All things related to being trans
Work issues — frequent themes include managing the stress of being a founder/high exec and balancing that with the rest of your life, struggles with coworkers, a desire to shift jobs / careers
Identity issues
Chronic pain / Illness
LGBTQIA+ specific issues
Feeling stuck or lacking direction — wanting to make a change but not knowing where to begin
Wanting to (re)learn how to get in touch with your intuition / highest self
Support around big life decisions
Family planning decisions
This list is not exhaustive. If you are not seeing your issue or concern listed above, please feel welcome to contact me.
In my 25+ years as a therapist, I have supported clients around almost any issue that could or would bring a person to seek therapy.
I am skilled, ethical, and knowledgeable. If a client comes to me with issues outside my scope of practice, I will help them find someone better equipped to help.
Many of my clients are therapists themselves. If that is you, I welcome you — I am skilled at holding the particulars related to this specific dynamic.
I also offer clinical supervision to therapists in training and to licensed therapists wanting to go deeper into their work.
Fees/Rates:
I am happy to discuss my fee in our initial phone call. I strongly believe therapy should be accessible to everyone and thus a portion of my practice is done on a need-based sliding scale. These spots are often full, but I do keep a waiting list, and you are always welcome to ask.
I do not work with any insurance directly. Doing so is left strictly up to my clients. If you have a PPO, there is typically some amount of my fee that can be reimbursed. I am happy to provide a Superbill at any time for you to submit to your insurance.
It may be helpful to call your insurance directly and ask how much they reimburse for “out of network” therapy. I can also provide a Superbill for clients to submit for reimbursement in the case that you have an FSA/HSA account. Therapy is considered a reimbursable medical expense.
