About Me & My Practice

My office

I am not a therapist who nods at you and does not say much. I tend to be much more engaged and relational. There is a place for silence, but I will not leave you alone in it. My hope is that your experience in working with me will be of you having me there beside you, supporting you along the way.

I believe that one of the most important determinants in having a positive outcome in therapy is having a very real, “good fit” between me and my clients. I will not be offended if after the first session, or few sessions, you decide it does not feel ideal. I will happily support you in finding someone you feel is a “just right” fit.

I have been a therapist for over 25 years and continue to love, enjoy, and feel passionate about my work. I am endlessly curious and a life-long learner. I truly feel I continue to grow and deepen as a therapist more and more every year. I am inspired and impacted by my clients every day.

My style is warm, relaxed, and attuned. I am also direct and to-the-point in my communication. I am far from a one-size-fits-all therapist. I always welcome feedback. Because of my knowledge and training in so many modalities, I tailor the way I work to each specific client. For example, some people want homework, others do not; some people prefer a more somatic approach, while others prefer to be met intellectually.
